Teaching Program
For over 13 years, Connections English Institute has welcomed around 150 volunteers from around the world to teach English in the heart of Colombia. We offer a culturally rich, supportive, and fun experience that goes far beyond the classroom.
What you'll Do
As a volunteer teacher, you’ll:
• Teach 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 4 hours/day).
• Work with motivated students (adults).
• Use our immersive, conversation-focused method.
• Support learners in real-world communication skills.
No formal teaching experience? No problem—we provide all the guidance and materials you need.
What's included
We take care of your essentials so you can focus on teaching and exploring:
• Teaching training before classes start.
• Private Accommodation in a local home.
• One meal per day (Monday–Saturday, not on holidays)
• Spanish lessons to help you connect with the community.
• Weekend adventures like hiking, rock climibing horseback riding, and city tours.
Program fee
The small fee helps us support your stay:
• $250 USD for the 4 weeks.
• $62 USD for each additional week.
There are no hidden costs—just your travel, insurance, and personal expenses.
Who can apply
We welcome:
• Native or fluent English speakers (18+)
• Passionate travelers who want to make a difference
• No teaching certificate required—just energy and commitment!
